Biographies of The Principals


Mark BrownMark Brown, the founder, publisher and former editor of Links Magazine, founded Golf Real Estate OnLine. While at Links Magazine, Mark traveled from coast to coast visiting the top golf and residential communities in the U.S., taking note of the qualities that set them apart from the rest. After leaving Links Magazine, Brown worked with a number of the finest golf communities in the U.S., and had a great understanding of what it takes to develop and market luxury golf communities. An avid golfer, Mark moved to Hilton Head Island 24 years years ago and became involved in all facets of the golf business, as well as virtually every aspect of golf and residential development, including the conceptual and master planning phases, golf and community design and marketing and public relations, where he worked closely with real estate sales and marketing directors. In 2004, he created a new, comprehensive marketing program for, Black Diamond Ranch, one of Florida’s top golf and residential communities.

Cindy Brown brings over 22 years of experience in marketing, publishing and graphic/website design to Golf Real Estate OnLine.com. Beginning her career at the world-renowned Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, Cindy was part of the start-up group of LINKS Magazine in 1987 and served as Marketing Manager until 1995 when she founded and published a local family-oriented publication. In 1998 she became a partner of a golf community marketing firm with her husband, Mark, and is now responsible for all graphic design and production as well as marketing activities.

Jim Gray comes to Golf Real Estate OnLine with abundant and varied experiences in both the golf and real estate industries. As a scratch player, Jim brings the ability to truly appreciate the nuances of golf courses communities. As a golf writer, Jim has proven he can go "below the surface" with analysis and stimulating commentary. Jim has been involved in both real estate and advertising as an agent, marketing director and owner. Jim's involvement with Golf Real Estate OnLine also parallels his own online venture, GRAYGOLF, the product of years of research and development. In the twenty-first century, Jim understands the present and future value of an on-line advertising and marketing campaign and is prepared to facilitate your needs.
